those plastic containers that mushrooms come in. I have tons of them and can't throw them away because they have to have a second life somewhere. Any ideas?
That's what I use them for as well as all the styrofoam trays that meat is packaged in. Just make sure you poke holes in the bottom so you don't end up drowning your seedlings.

If you don't want to use them yourself, you could always give them to someone who sells veggies at your local farmer's market. I've seen people use them to put tomatoes in to sell.

When I worked as a preschool teacher, we often used those containers to organize our craft supplies, or used them for projects with the kids. Perhaps you can talk to your local child care centers and see if they have a use for them.
