I think it is adorable too. They all are...but do you think you could make them without the pattern?

hey Linda,
I have that origional pattern too!...
One of my eariler jobs (when my daughter was an infant) was called "piece work", I would go over to the factory once a week, pick up a bag of circle cut fabric & fiber fill, then at home I would stitch & stuff while Meri napped & in the evenings and when ever.
I would return back to the factory with a huge bag of 'yoyo's' and was paid 2cents each....thus the term piece work.
Some times I didn't make much and other times I made grocery money. The company had a large line of fabric toys etc. The yoyo's that I stitched were for a soft toy called "Zippy the Clown". Can you belive it, I never bought one for my daughter..I didn't like the clown! lol!

Grace, that is so interesting! What did you use the fiberfill for?

I made a clown like that with all crochet circles...I'll have to take a pic and show it.

Oh, wow. I made a yo-yo clown for my friend's baby boy 28 years ago. It was so easy to make. Funny how things cycle back into vogue.

Linda, we very litely "puffed" up our yoyos w/the fiberfill to make them more stuffed like. I am not sure how they were assembled....but I think they were litely "glued & then strunged together, again, I never bought a finished one. lol!

I have to laugh, I thought the "Owl" was a cat until I read the instructions... duh!

I love that pattern! I have been making things will yoyos for quite some time- I am really interested in the different head patterns. Making a head that works for my yoyo dolls is the worst part for me. I definitely have to pick this one up.

I agree, Janiee,,,
I wait till Joann's has their patterens on sale before I buy. I keep a list of the ones I want so I don't waist time looking through the book everytime I go & shop.

Looking thru the books is not a waste of time to me...I love to spend time looking thru pattern books! :-)
I only do that when they are on sale. I pay 2.99 or 1.99 when I see they are sale.
I am glad we are enjoying this topic.

I just looked at that pattern the other day. I have two nieces who are expecting and I was going to make them for the babes. I made this with my yoyo's a week or so back. I still haven't added the buttons though.

very pretty....I am assuming it's a table runner or a placemat? Maybe you can make the pic larger.
