Last week mom had surgery , at the time the Drs said they were sure 99% it was cancer, We found out yesterday it is Breast Cancer, She goes in next week for more surgery, either a complete removal or Lapo, She will have have to have 30 radium treatments or if it has spread to the lymph nodes it will be chemo. My momma will be married 65 years in March, and will be 79 in April. She has done much of the stitching you see on the Mj pillows. Some of you probably own some of her stitches. Please think of her in your prayers

Life should NOT be a jounrey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. "WOOHOO, what a ride!"

Hi Rene just been going thru some tough times but we all have these from time to time,I know God is always with us and I have a lot to be thankful for, My mom is one tough lady, you never hear her complain, Daddy is the spoilt one, at 81 I know now he will never grow up thanks mostly to my Mom Ha I will be going to be with her thru this one, I was down so bad last week I couldnt travel and it really hurt to know I wasnt there with her. They say breast cancer is the easiest to cure so I am going to look positive about it

Miss Wilma,
Yes,I will be praying for you mama, and she is one tough lady indeed, so are you. I bet it hurt not to be there with her. I sure can understand that one, not being able to be there with my mom with some of her treatments. Uplifting you and your family Miss Wilma.....((((((hugs))))

We'll both keep her in all our thoughts and prayers, Wilma. And if you need us to do anything(You know we mean that...anything) to help you and your family, you better say so. One of my best friends is a breast cancer survivor. The important word is 'survivor'. Two years now. She's going to retire next month and we'll be junking every Friday! We're here if you need us. Have vehicles, will travel!

Miss Wilma, your mom and your family will be in my prayers. Please give her a big hug from me, she is the sweetest lady and I really enjoy talking with her. I was just looking at the pillow of the mother and child that you made this morning and I thought of that pic that was posted here of you and her when you were little. I didn't know she did the stitching. I'm sending warm, healing thoughts and big hugs to all of you. If I can do anything for you all please let me know.

Hello Miss Wilma
My mom is 83 and she is a two time breast cancer survivor. First when she was 65 and then again at 71. She had a double mastectomy and treatments.. She has been cancer free for 12 years. She was positively certain she would beat it and did. My heart goes out to you and your family and will be thinking only positive thoughts.
Take care Ingrid

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!

Miss Wilma, I just saw this thread about your mom. She and your whole family will be in my prayers. I hope your mom's spirits are high. This is one of those things that can really get a woman down.

Would she like a cheery get well card? If you think she'd like that, I'd LOVE to send her one. Just email me her address.

My mom is one in a million, she is very tough and such a fighter, She has seen some horrible things with others breast cancers and that kind had me worried but I just keep telling her that breast cancer is one of the easiest to cure,If you girls think I work, I couldnt shine a light to mom, She will be hunting something to do the day she comes home.

Wilma, I will keep your Momma in my prayers. I know she is a fighter and that will help her overcome this. I will also keep you and the family in my prayers because I know how hard it is for family members. I have been there. Keep strong girl and remember to keep hope and faith even in the worst times.
