I never knew about it but I am really not an outdoorsy kinda person. My idea of roughing it is a hotel. hehehehehehehehe

Hi Sherri- I followed a link in Jen Bove's signature line. It is a separate site so I don't know if there is a link on the main "splash" page. www.maryjanesoutpost.org has more things on there than the forum too!
Kristin- it is still a bit of a young forum. I think that having a few more people chatting over there will really kick it into another gear and there should be some fabulous conversations over there- especially as the weather starts to warm up!
It looks like the last post was Aug 2008. I just registered. Maybe we can get it active again. Alee: can you tell me the main difference between this forum and MJ farmgirl?
It does look like there are more "goat and cow" people on the homestead thread. I like that. I did join it but have not gotten confirmation yet. It is a part of MJF, isn't it?

Linda- the last post was Today- not August of 2008. The Outpost is focused more on the outdoorsy type topics. Think of it as the difference between MJ's Lifebook (The farmgirl connection) with lots of topics on many different things from cooking to cleaning to outdoors and then think of the Outpost forum like MJ's Outpost book- more focused on Outdoors type topics- whatever outdoors means for you. Whether your outside things are in you back yard or if you are an experienced backpacker that hardly ever goes indoors! I have learned a lot from the ladies at the outpost! Always ready with ideas and gear recommendations!
