Since we are down to 5 + 2 for Steve and kids send me 10 and I will send you back 8 as two go to Steve and you will receive none of your own
12 inches so your sent in ones are 12 1/2-100% cotton-10 blocks +2=12 extra will go to Clare's family in memory of our sweet farmgirl sister-Also for new ones we label our blocks so we know who sent what-just a sticky label works-Send to me with self addressed envelope with enough postage to return to you. Deadline Febuary 28 has to be in mail by the date so just let me know wen you send. Extended to March 15th subject to change as needed

I was actually thinking of Clare and looking at her blocks today from all the swaps and of course we could do an extra I will even put it together. ((((Hugs)))

Ok I didn't want to put off till tomorrow what I can do today so I went ahead and tried it and it worked I think so here is the picture of it made up It came out a bit dark but it really is just a navy blue calico in the picture. Now I have not made one of these yet but was hoping to do a swap. they look easy and I would love to see what everyone comes up with. It is from a book called Quilting among friends 55 friendship blocks for.... by Jill Reber I was only thinking of us doing the hen block which is really easy> It is basically some squares and one or two triangles and then you add the head and comb and scarf and heart wing. The beak is a square folded and sewn in when you put the head on so it is kind of 3-D. What do you think Carrie? I don't want to step on any toes and you certainly started this so I would just pass out the instructions and we would still send everything to you. I do not want to be the hostess. So, I want to make sure it is ok with Carrie and everyone else.

I just read that the finished block is only 10 and a half inches though so that might make our decision for us. Let me know..Bev

Alright sounds like we are leaning towards farm animals. Okay I am going to change that and add names. Shall we say 12-15 blocks and I will change the size to 10 1\2 so Beverley can use her block so we will all have a chicken now the rest of us will have to come up with a block. I don't hand applique but you could use coloring pages and machine applique Search up animal quilt blocks I am sure there is a wealth of them on internet. I will try to get some links together tomorrow after my errands. Use up those scraps. This will be fun and after we will do a spring block swap.

I could always add a border to mine to make them 12 inches so you don't have to change the size for me. I can adjust mine...

ok beverley as I prefer 12 and just to let you know what you send to me is 12 1/2 ok then when blocks are put together they will be 12 inches (I just didn't know if you were a quilter or not) thanks
