Hello! My dear friend has been encouraging me to be part of this sisterhood. Since I enjoy and value the women in my life and I need help most all the time I decided to try. My computer skills are so poor that alone has made it difficult.
I am a farm girl at heart, mind and in life. We have horses and rabbits right now but have had nearly every animal there is. The last 2 years we decided to garden again; last year it did pretty good. We are trying to build up the soil.
The thing I need help with right now is a flour alternative for bread, biscuits and the like. Because of a health issue, my husband can no longer eat wheat. I found one combo but it bakes up crumbly and can't use it for sandwiches.
I appreciate any and all help. |

Hi Kris, Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Sounds like youll fit right in.
Let's see, a wheat flour alternative. Have you tried Spelt? A lot of people who can't eat wheat and don't want white bread are able to tolerate Spelt. :) hugs

Hey Miss Kris. Welcome all the way from Georgia. It's going to be weird to see another Kris here. My name is Kristin but go by Kris now. So nice to meet you and hope you enjoy it here.
Rice flour is another good alternative to whaet, too. Spelt is good, also. Good luck in your search.

A big warm hug from one of the Louisiana farmgirls. I don't know about a wheat alternative, but I'll ask around and see if anyone I know has heard of anything! Glad you're here, Kris!

Big smile!! Thanks for the warm greetings!! Fun!! I am sure I will like this but it is going to take me awhile to understand all the ins and outs. If I make mistakes, bare with me please. I thought those sayings under your names were very cool. I don't have one yet, but I might have to look for one that says who I am.
see you in print. Miss Kris |
