I just cleaned out a corner of my sewing room, including the top drawer of the desk in there! Wow! That felt great!
I got all the cards that I have received put into my keepsakes box, I got all the loose scrap booking words that were wrinkled thrown away, the envelopes all sorted into piles according to size, and a pile of clean fresh cards waiting to be used! WHOO HOOO! I am sooo excited!
I also was able to rip off 2 months from my desk calender which got rid of all of Nora's doodles. I have a clean calender and a clean desk! That won't last long! Only 7 days until college starts again!!

That's not funny, but you should check the garbage (guess where I found a paycheck once?) Did you look at all of the paper with Nora's scribbles before you threw them away? Good luck! Sage :)

Mom- there is a distinct possibility that I threw away my ssn card- but there is NO WAY I am dumpster diving for it! ICK! I am going to go get a replacement tomorrow and have Cheyenne mail me a new Certificate. And this time...they get their own special place in the important documents box!!

Good thinking Alee.. but don't forget where that place is.. I have done that a few times too.. thinking I was so smart & couldn't remember where I put the new documents. I think it is because I tried so hard to do it right,So now i have an inventory of where I have things saved in my computer files.

Keep in mind that even if you aren't willing to dumpster dive for your SS card someone else might be. Crooks are always going through garbage to steal documents. Unless you burn or shred your papers you might want to suck it up and find that card. Otherwise you should check your credit periodically. Just a thought. We are still hunting for my hubby's College diploma. We are horrible about keeping track of papers but I thought I knew where it was and it wasn't there, I am afraid it went out with the trash. Hubby acts like it is my fault but I say it is his, he should keep track. I know where mine is. Good Luck with your search.

I appreciate the concern but our neighbor that shares our dumpster is a needle drug user and also a *ahem* "Lady of the Night" so I don't want to run the risk of accidentally getting poked by something from her trash! We take precautions to stay safe and she NEVER comes over here because she knows she is not really welcome. She is actually a pretty harmless (to others) person that has some learning difficulties that I think hold her back in other parts of her life.... but I digress...
