I have not left my house since Saturday. I have been sick and have had the 5 year old granddaughter, too. I do not like to go anywhere when I have her. She is the slowest child ever! I am always in a hurry and to have to wait on her is awful. Her and my husband go great together. They both walk about the same speed and keep each other company getting to where they're going.

But I just realized I have been here at home since Sat. I don't need a thing, either. Well, I am out of bleach and was going to wash whites yesterday but I guess that can wait a few more days. I did hang clothes out on the line Wed. That was nice.

I guess I would be ok for awhile now without having to go out for anything. I'm all stocked up on most things.Except bleach. Got toilet paper. Goats for milk. Plenty of food, too. I'm good.

So what's the longest ya'll have been home without having to run out and get something you needed? I've never really thought about this before. Hhmmm. It could be even going to work every day and not having to stop and get something, too.

hehe...before children or after? lol
I've gone just a week. I always happen to think of something I need. I never seem to remember what it was I originally went to the store for and will most times forget something and have to run back. Grocery store of course. :)
Hope you are feeling better!!!

When we're at the cabin - we have gone for almost a month without going to town - forced due to the gumbo roads, but we're prepared over there - stocked up on everything.

I could stay home forever. My husband can't stand to stay home more than a day or two.

I could stay at home for a long time too. I think the longest time recently though is about five days. Everything is so close to us, it is hard to resist going and getting quick stuff. I would really like being far enough out in the country to make our trips special and far apart. Wishing......

My last trip to town was Mon. the 29th. I do not plan to go again until Wed the 7th. Don't tell Ole Ron, but I am watering down the gallon of milk with powdered milk. If I have to water down my glass of wine, I am going to water down his milk. LOL

Belle, you are a sneaky woman, aren't you?

Once a month sounds good to me. We live 8 miles from the nearest con. store. I try not to go there, though. So the nearest town is 14 miles. So we have to plan what is needed and make a route when we go to town. I just found out that Dollar General is building a store on the corner of 136 and 193 which is 8 miles away. Darn, now we'll probably start getting all kinds of stores out here. But thank goodness we live in a histoical area and most of the cove is protected from the "big guys"!

I made it 7 days! I had to go get more grain and a few other things. So made a day of it. And had to deliver milk, too.

I love staying at home. I do live in town so it's very easy to pop in and out to pick things up. I also have a teenager so I play taxi several days a week. I could be very happy only going out about once a week.

Belle - you crack me up!

We go about three times a week. I have not trained my husband to buy in bulk. Since it has turned bitterly cold & winter here, He gets house bound & says He has to get out.. So we do make lists & get out & about. Town is only over the hill actuallly 2 miles to city limits but 6 to grocery store. Plus we make the 78 mile trip tp Costco every two months or so when we go top his dr appointments. They are opening a Michaels in town in the same parking strip as our major grocery shopping venture.. Yikes! & JoAnns is across the street.. I am in trouble.. ( That's why I am wittling down the grocery bill.. A farmgirl has crafting & sewing priorities doesn't she?

Lol..Cheryl! Unfortunately for me that if I took from the grocery bill to help fund my "priorities" then DH would think that gave him license to do the same..LOL...GAH!!!

Well Silly I don't let my Dh know what I am doing..about everything that is...plus I pay the bills usually and he was all for me budgeting.. He never even asked a single question. Just asked me "where do I put the receipts?" I love this guy!
