I want to buy some medium weight white dishes, something that does NOT get hot in the microwave, is durable. Almost restaurant quality without the heaviness. Any suggestions???

Pfaltzgraff is my absolute favorite. I've never had any trouble with them getting exceptionally how in the microwave and they are very durable. They may be a tad bit heavier than you're looking for I don't know!!
If you have outlets near you, you may be able to find them there!

Corel (sp) made by Corning. I love mine. Never a problem in the microwave or dishwasher. Very chip resistant also. We have a set in the motorhome and don't have to worry about chipping or breaking when on the move.. Have a set here in the house that we use everyday.

Misty, I love Pfaltzgraff too. I have several serving pieces that I use mostly in the summer for fresh veggies because of the garden sceans. I don't have the plates or anything, way too heavy for me.

Its Corelle for me too! They are said to be unbreakable.;) They are quite a bit cheaper than Pfaltzgraff, and as Belle said they are chip resistant. I use them all the time with my kids and so far no major destruction. :) You can get that just about anywhere too. I have seen the all white sets at Walmart for sure.
