Yum! Last night I made a pork loin roast, baked potato halves with olive oil and seasonings, and peas. For dessert I broke out with my Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book and baked bread pudding for the first time ever. It turned out so good and was so easy! Yummy! Everyone liked it.

I love bread pudding. I use the recipe in the 50's Betty Crocker Book. I am glad you FINALLY made some and it was so good. Isn't it fun when you like it and everyone else does too. MB

Yeah it really is! I love vintage cook books! They are my favorite. My BH and G is from 1953. It makes me happy using it because they have been used so much before :)

We used to have a grocery store that would sell their day old bakery items half price. I would buy the iced cin rolls. I couldn't stand them, all that uckky icing. BUT, cube them up and pour milk and egg mixture over them and they made yummy bread pudding.

Bread pudding is yummy. My cousin gave me a lovely recipe, with caramel sauce. It is out of this world.

It sounds delicious Michele! I remember bread pudding from my childhood (not that it was so long ago...). My mom would always take me out antiqueing and to look at all the wonderful antique stores in one area (I forget where it was). Anyways, we would always stop at a little restaurant/bakery/deli type place and she would get me the bread pudding. It was a special thing for me.

When I saw the recipe for it in my cook book, I was really excited because it took me back to when I was a kid. It turned out pretty delicious too!
