Well, we never know what to expect. We don't live out in the country, really, more on the edge of a town. We do have a few chickens and a bunny, etc. But all that intro to say that. . .we had 2 stray chickens in our driveway/yard last night! Rhode Island Reds I suppose; they look kind of oldish--legs are bleached out pretty well. We are kind of new to the area, and so we called the 2 people in our tiny town who always know what's happening and they can't think of anyone within a couple of miles of us with chickens. So. . .the great Christmas chicken mystery! We caught them and put them in a crate in the garage for now. Monday I'll ask the postmaster if anyone has said anything (that's the big gossip center of our town!) Weird.
