Bonne sent me awhile back these rocks she had found me when they were high up in the Rocky Mountains helping a friend of theirs. I love the energy from these stones...I had kept them thinking i would eventually get a rock tumber and polish them. I woke up this morning thinking about these stones. Soooo... I got my can of spray craft sealer ...5 coats later ..they are just as bright as the polished stones . It should last my life time on the stone ....I used these native Peruvian ceramic beads with this stone and added a silver horse charm that has a small inlay of paui shell in the middle. I have several more to work on as I design them in my head ...and then I also have some from Elsise ( ranchmama ) that came from their ranch in montana . I sprayed some of the petriefied wood ones she sent me and they are drying.They look awesome and I cant wait to see how they make up into necklaces.....

Lisa, can you tell me how you do the wire work for the stones and wood on your necklaces. I have several stones and my 2 granddaughters love stones I want to make necklaces for them.

Hi deborah :) I really dont know how to tell you to do them Each piece is wrapped differnet due to size and shape of stone --what wire you use and all....and however i bend the wire to tighten around the stone. None of my wraps ever are the same really. Best I can do is tell you to get some wire and experiment with it and the stones. It is more of a hands on thing to learn. It takes some practice to do them and alot of patience while you learn it. But once you do .. you will enjoy it alot.

Yes, wirewrapping takes skill and lots of practice. Ck the wigjig university for lots of helpful info on working with wire. ;)

PSS....what size wire do you use? I went on you site Lisa and saw some other things you have done...They are beautiful. Also is the brown wire you have on one of your barter pieces coated? Or is it copper? I really couldnt tell.
