LOL Christine, its snowed for 15 hours straight so far. Dh is stuck in Spokane, and we are here, snowed in literally. I hope it lets up a little so dh can get back before christmas,LOL

And again, I ask,,,,why did we leave SO. CAL.????? hahaha!
for those of you not affected by the snow conditions you can see a few pic's on my blog....
Looks like E.WA., & N. ID got hit pretty hard. Right now we are still in a "Code-Red-Snow Watch" Spokane is pretty well crippled by the snow.... any body want to trade some snow for 50 degree weather???? PLEASE???!!!

| I was amazed. We got about 9 in. of snow. Parts of Spokane got double that. We are 70 plus miles north of Spokane. We get the Spokane paper delivered here. I told my husband he needn't hurry I doubt if we would even see it today. Around 9:45 A.M. he took the dog for a walk to the road and there was our paper, our road was plowed and the school bus was rambling by. Pats on the back to our road crew and newspaper delivery person. JoAnn |

We're snowed in down here on the Palouse. Just baking and cooking away. Hope it clears so my daughter and her family can get in here from San Diego on Sunday. Merry Christmas.

More snow....& cold here.
But not like our dd's in Orem, UT with 18" this morning & still snowing.
We leave to drive there on saturday, hopefully between storms. :)

Christine,
My DS#1 flew Monday (15) to Washington D.C. for an award for his company. He flew back yesterday to Los Angeles and couldn't get home because the highways in CA were closed where he lived in Lancaster, CA because of snow. Here in the Tri-Cities we received about 7-8 inches of the white stuff. I'm almost finished shoveling, probably only to start over again tomorrow. That plus the fact that it is COLD outside.

| If it's gonne be this miserably cold, I would rather have cold precip like snow, and not just a mucky mess outside! at least when it snows it's pretty AND cold. |

We've gotten 20 inches so far and it's still coming down - 6 inches more expected starting on Saturday!!

I called Mike and begged him to stay in Spokane tonight, its all good . For now anyway, I got kyles bday cake baked gonna start dinner soon. There are kids over playing, 5 cars stuck out on my road. Been diggin out my 85yearold neighbor, she gets clausterphobic if she thinks she cant get out. So I am working on getting her calm. I have to be completely honest though its still coming down and I'm getting nervous ; ) We've got ALOT out there, 3 of the stuck cars are 4X4s, go figure!!

I am so glad that's not here! Goodness you guys, i could not handle this. Is that your car under that hill, Marybeth? It looks so cold out there. In fact, I have on my screensaver a picture of someone's Mich. snow and I think I'm going to take it off now and put a picture of a desert or Hawii (how do you spell that,anyway? ) Something with blue skies and heat.
Ya'll stay warm and safe way out there. And keep the snow!!

My neighbor finally dug me out, he's been having trouble with the snowplow Hey, just stay home where you are safe and sound. The state snowplow just went by here for the first time all day. So many are in the ditch here. Glad I stayed home. Got a craving for cookies but I don't have brown sugar as I made up a bunch of gifts in quart jars(cookies). I am better off, darn.
If you have the time, I am in the local paper today, Spokesman Review, Voice section. It is about my totes.

We got a dumping today about 5 inches and we are leaving North Tomorrow. In case you don't know where Klamath Falls is we are like 20 miles north fo the California border right smack dab in the middle of Oregon. we are traveling north & then West and then North again for the holidays/ We will pass over 3 major mountain ranges and It is so pretty here. I love the snow.. we have not had snow for Christmas for the past 6 years.. Dh is a great driver... He used to drive long haul trucks, I have to remind myself of this often.. You know how it is when you have NO CONTROL of a situation? I am really bad.. So you all Bundle up, hat Coat & mittens, Keep a snow shovel near the door and put on some Christmas Music while you Drink your favorite Beverage.... ( mine is a glass of Wine) Merry Christmas everyone! It is Still snowing Big flakes!

Cheryl be careful. We always stop at Mollys diner on our way through KFalls. I like it there.
Karin, I am glad you got plowed out. We are still stuck, no mail, no paper no nothing. I got bread baking ,fried chicken , cookies and birthday cake. Want to be prepared so I'm cooking up a storm. I wish I could figure out how to get a video to load, the kids had a BLAST moving the snow and skating on the ice under-neath.

| I shoveled snow for 6 1/2 hours today - I have a big twenty foot gate across the drive and had to shovel the whole swing to get the thing open so the plow guy could get in. Had to get paths to the chickens and down to the barn. A very long day. I got between 18 to 20 inches and in some places 30 depending on where the wind drifted it up. Finally got plowed out at 5:00 - the 4wd went out on my plow guys truck so he's tearing it down tomorrow. Went out a few minutes ago only to find an additional 2.5 inches and more falling. I had hoped for a more "normal" winter this year after the record snow last year. Hope all is well for everyone. |

I would love to have your weather right now. It is a balmy 0 degrees and we just got three inches of snow this morning and the high this morning was only a boiling 3 degrees. No wind yet but they tell us with the dry snow and cold temps it will be coming tonight. They are telling us that conditions will be severe. OK what has it been for the last week with the temps falling to -29 degrees at night and highs only in the single digits and even below 0 degrees some days. I really do feel for you all with love ones trapped and can not get home. Take care.

Hope all of you "SnowFarmGirls" are fairing a little better than earlier this week, Firemama, hope hubby got home from town in good shape. Glad you got plowed out Karen!! We had another 4-5" today, and think it may go on into the night, at least it's not as cold as it was a day or two ago!! Back to work tomorrow.....get ready for another storm on Christmas Eve they say. Drive safe all!!

We got about 10 inches total with a quarter inch of ice in between. Thank goodness we didn't bet much freezing rain and didn't have any wind where I am. Other people in the area did not fair so well. We did venture out today and the roads are passable. I still have some last minute Christmas stuff to do and need to get it on Tuesday - hope we can get out more then.

Yup and lots of it. Mike made it home friday and made it back to work this morning, only to get a flat tire, : ) . If it isnt one thing there is a list of 5 more things to go wrong. lol. Its okay though, he gonna get it taken care of and bring work home and grocery shop for me, since the snow is higher that my tires on our road in spots.
Karen I hope you are okay out there!! Everyone else too stay warm safe and dry!!

Woke up to another 4 inches of snow this morning! It doesn't sound like things are going to clear up any time soon either. I'm loving being snowed in but my kids are going crazy.
