We will be picking up our new german shepherd pup - Max tomorrow. I am excited but sad at the same time. In october of 2007 Baron - our 4 year old german shepherd went missing. He was a dear friend, great protector and wonderful with all the grankids. Baron took his job as farm guard dog very seriously. We would even find him laying in the chick pen as if he were gaurding them! There had been a few instances where cayotes in the area had killed some of the dogs ( neighbors found remains) but we could not find Baron. It still saddens me to think that he may have suffered

A few weeks ago we decided it was time for a new puppy. After several different visits with breeders we couldn't find a puppy that felt like he should be ours. Then we stopped by one last place and Max picked us out as his new family. He is an adorable little brown and tan butterball that I can't wait to take home. I will post pictures as soon as we get him and I can figure out how to post pics!

I love puppies too! Congratulations on your new pup. I'm sorry about Baron, it is so sad not to know what became of him. Enjoy the new pup though, I'm sure he'll pick up where Baron left off.

How exiting! A brand new puppy. I am sorry about Baron. That's sad to never know what happened to him.

Have fun with the new baby. Kris
