blush...
you're just being nice because i have to live in a yurt in the middle of nowhere...LOL.

came back after my month's retreat to mice in the ceiling. caught 2 last night and heard one more this afternoon.

it's not as bad as it sounds. i haven't had any since i evicted one last july. most folks have them all the time.

glad you like the gizmos. they are such fun. i have some more in the works. want to get the loppies done long before easter!

i should give an MJ discount. hey, i'll post that in marketplace...

I'm almost finished with my cozy. I'm so happy with the knit pattern I chose. I realized this morning that I am making the pattern size and didn't ever ask my partner what size her tea pot is! Off to email before it is too late (I want to finish it today to mail tomorrow).

My tea cozy will be mailed next weekend.
It didnt go today because I left it on my sewing table this morning when I went to the post office to mail some other packages. What a knuckle-head I am.

OMGosh Linda, I just caught your post that you are knitting AND crocheting the tea cozy. You're going above and beyond, you darling!

I'm bartering for yarn and knitting needles so I can learn...

Oh Kathy I'm glad:) I couldn't quite get finished until last night. I'll be sending your package out on Monday. I fell a few weeks ago and hurt my wrist. I hate how slow I am right now! But I did save 4 eggs as I fell. heehee

This swap has been so much fun...I am finally ready to send Cathy her cozy on Monday. This swap has also been an eye opener. I have sewed, knitted, felted, dyed yarn, wool, and embellished. Had a wonderful time....I enjoy seeing all the lovely cozies that you all have made. I can't put up my pictures on MJ but you can see what I have been doing the last few weeks on my blog site. Cathy and I have emailed each other a couple of times and I hope that she likes the one I am sending to her. It is the gray wool with the lite green and embellished with wool flowers and old buttons. I also put on my blog that I made little rice pillows to set my pot on to help keep my tea hot. I have had a good time and Lots of hot tea....

Sarita--I love the rice pillow! I don't sew, but I will have to figure out making one of these. Thank you for sharing photos of all your cozies. You are so talented.

sarita,
just saw the cozy!!!!!! i love it!!!!! your did a lot of work on that!!! love that it was made of wool from your farm, that makes it extra special. i will cherish it. mailing yours on monday as well, so they will pass each other on the road. this exchange was a lot of fun, am looking forward to participating in another one. it gives all of us a chance to get to know one another better. we all seem to have a lot in common!

Cathy, I am so happy that you like it! It is funny that we both are nurses, spin, knit, and like primitive. I will post pictures of the one you made for me when it gets here...will put it on my blog.
Debby, you can hand stitch around a couple of little squares or circles and turn it right side out and put a little rice in it before you sew it up. Then you can make little covers for it. Too simple. These are small versions of what I use for heat pads. I make larger ones and put them in the mircrowave for a few seconds to put on the old joints when I have pain. I also made one that is long and narrow that I can put around my neck. Use it alots.
Girls, I am glad I finished the tea cozy before I start lambing...soon! Worked on the lambing jugs the last couple of days. We will also be shearing soon...30 plus new fleeces.

I am still waiting to go buy myself a teapot...my only one broke.
The cozy is done except for needing a model to try it on..then I'll sew up the sides.
Thanks for being patient.
