I'm selfishly grateful that I no longer live in a tent at our center (it rained like crazy and the winds are gusting hard). But I'm grateful that dh and I found bunk beds in Tucson on Craigslist and brought them out here to house the campers in the available yurts - and they have heat and don't leak or fall over! So I'm glad folks have indoor if not strange housing out here.

Today I am thankful that I am able to go to the grocery store and shop. I know that these are difficult times for so many and our refrigerator and pantry are full. I am very grateful to be so blessed.

Today I'm thankful for yummy sweet smelling cow breath!

And for a good friend who, after several hours of shopping, has a nice pot of Earl Grey tea in a pretty tea pot with all kinds of goodie to eat when I come over. What a good friend.

Today I am grateful that the kiddies go into school late in the morning so we can sleep in a little.
I have just been totally exhausted here lately. That nasty sinus bug has me a lil under the weather.
Oh and I'm grateful the sinus bug hasn't knocked me completly out of the game.

Oh my goodness, what a night we had! It rained, it thundered, the sky was lit up all night long! We have rivers where there were no rivers. We have several ponds where there were no ponds. It's a BIG MESS out there.

But I am thankful that it stopped long enough for me to feed all the animals and milk the goats! I love when that happens. Now that I'm finished, it can do whatever.

The ducks are happy now. The pigs are lovin' this. The goats are in the dry barn with plenty of hay. All's well with this little piece of the world!

Tryin' to stay dry, Kris

I am grateful that I have a roof over my head, a quilt on my bed, plenty of food to be fed and a family whose butts are of lead. (sometimes)

I'm grateful our heater works! Woke up and it was 38 F in the yurt. There was still propane in the tank but the heater wouldn't light. Must have had some water in the line that froze but DH got it going again.

But I'm even more grateful for our comforter - only my head was really cold and I covered that when I saw the heater wasn't working!

Today I am grateful that I made it home safely last night since my car was covered with ice/sleet. I'm also thankful for my friends in my knitting group.

I'm also glad that I finished another Christmas gift this morning :)

Today I'm grateful that I got another fleece blanket made, am almost finished with the scarf I'm knitting for my hubby, hot coffee, my warm fuzzy robe, the fire in the fireplace, and my kitty curled up on my lap purring.

Today, Bert, the project manager, asked me to go up to the Dome site with the crew. They have council every day before starting work and it's really amazing.

I'm grateful for these wonderful loving people in my community.

Greatful for the weather right now seems as though it is going to get bad in the next couple of days. I am grateful for my family and friends I will send out my Christmas thoughts today. I am actually grateful for my brothers too I have to put his in writting as we are all in a large fight right now and I am the only one brave enought to attempt to get in touch with them all.
