I would like to thank all the farm girls who have helped me to discover the farm girl in me. I could spend hours on my computer reading about all the wonderful women out there who have inspired me and helped me to be the woman I've always wanted to be. Most of my life has been nothing but work, work, work. Now I have a new direction in life, and it's all because of Maryjanesfarm. Again thank you all. |

I feel the same way Jo Ann... and now that I' m retired I know I have "come home."...I love it here on our little one acre of BlueSky and stress free living. I know I work hard & longer hours but its so self-rewarding. Cooking, canning, gardening, homemaking, decorating and Simply living.

JoAnn, I know just what you mean. It's so amazing discovering a part of you that you didn't realize was there or that had been dormant for so long you forgot all about it. And then to find a wonderful farmgirl family who "gets it" and doesn't think you're weird - just too incredible for words.

Ditto! I grew up simply and when I moved to CA I strayed and was unhappy but didn't realize why. Now that I found MJF I have Been more true to who I am and have eliminated a lot of clutter in my life. I feel so good producing good, honest food for my family, Keeping my house (relatively) clean in a somewhat natural way. It makes me feel good. Becky

Hi JoAnn, I totally agree with you. I was a farmgirl when I was younger and my grandma taught me all the farmgirl ways. Then I lost my inner farmgirl for a while, but I found her right here on this site! Yes it is a WONDERFUL place and it's so great to have sisters who all love being farmgirls and share all the same interests that you do. I love it here. I'm proud to be a farmgirl! Happy Holidays!
