So...last night I finally learned to crochet! I have been putting it off for quite a while now. I am a knitter and have always wanted to know how to crochet as well, but never took the time to learn it (it always looked so difficult to me)! My roommate crochets and so do my other friends. They come and hang out in our room all the time and crochet while I knit (I'm in a sorority so it's not wierd that they come hang out in the room lol!) Last night I finally had one of my friends actually sit down and go through the steps with me and I got it! I really like to crochet now! It is not difficult at all and is actually really fun! I am practicing the double stitch and making a scarf right now. I am so excited!
Congratulations, Chelsey! It's funny that you are a knitter and thought crocheting was hard. I love to crochet but think knitting is hard. Maybe I'll give a shot after the holidays. You've inspired me!

Congrads It is like potato chips. You can't crochet just one Ha. I learned to crochet from my dear deceased grandmother. Then in my 20s I taugth myself to knit I dearly love to do both. Pinkroses
Whooo hooo!! you are Hooked now! I learned to make something other than a chain this year too. I prefer crochet over knit for so many things that I want to have a more stable weave. you'll love it.
