They are maltese/dachshund hybrids and are sister and brother. They will turn months old on the 26th of this month. I didn't think they would like going out in the cold and snow but they absolutely love it. so they go out everyday with me now . They are just so much fun. Gracie is the more white one with the shorter fur and she weighs in at a whopping # and a half pounds and maverick is the longer haired more black one and he is 4 and a half pounds. and they are almost full grown. it is so funny to see them next to my newfie!!!! one so big and they are so little. What a hoot!!!! Glad you liked my picture...

People are raising Labradoodles but I think maltchunds or weinertesers are much cuter. This should be a new breed they are soooo cute.

actually people call them either malweenies or ,Oh for the life of me I can't remember the other thing they are called but I like your 2 suggestions much better!!!!! The ones i have right now are second generation but next spring I am going to start breeding 1st generation . I just love them and everyone who has bought one from me say they just love their personalities and the fact that they are better for allergies since they have the maltese side as well. I just love them cause they are so much fun and cute!!!! hehehehehehe

They really are adorable! I thought the one on the right was a schnauzer, having grown up with one.
Beverly, I went to school in Interlochen, Michigan, near Traverse City. Seems like you were a couple of counties away from us, is that correct? |

I grew up in downriver detroit area which is a suburb south of detroit and now I have lived here in atlanta for the past 2 years (retired here) which is about and hour and a half from traverse city over on the east side of the state. We are right inbetween gaylord and alpena.
