In a heavy kettle put 2 cups of sugar and 2/3 cup evaporated milk, have 8 oz jar of marshmallow creme and one cup peanut butter ready, Bring milk and sugar to boil , boil to soft ball stage , test in cold water, when mixture makes soft ball turn off heat, add marshmallow creme and peanut butter, stier quickly pour into buttered pan, this is the best I have ever made and is so easy

mmmmmm....mmmmmm....mmmmmmm!!! Thank you Miss Wilma for this recipe! I haven't had peanut butter fudge since I was a child. Now I want to make this for my kids. My mom also use to make a cake with peanut butter frosting. Oh, that was yummy too.

Miss Wilma,
About what temp. is the soft ball stage? In the past, anytime I've tried to eyeball it my recipe was always a flop!

I am the worstest cook I never hardly look at a recipe book, I just have a sm all bowl where I am cooking with a little cold water you can test more than once, just when you put a few drops in the water and can kinda gather it up good its ready for the last two ingredients,. I promise you this wont last long and is ready to eat soon after pouring up When this is boiling, when it is getting ready, it will look kinda glassey I will tell you this gets ready fast, so you may want to ck it in the water more than once let me know how you do, If you fail I will just send you a box full Ha

Oh Miss Wilma, I don't believe for a minute that you are a bad cook. I am gonna give this a try. I will do my best, but I might fail just so you can send me some. LOL! Just kidding. I will eat it with a spoon even if it does flop! I can already feel those pounds creeping up on me. he,he.

Annika I am one of those cooks that just starts cooking and using a sprinkle of this and a dash of another, growing up we didnt even own a cookbook but I could make wonderful cakes from scratch, One time I was trying to bribe my brothers to do something for me so I promised to make them a lemon pie well it was the prettiest pie the only thing wrong it tasted like lemon but the filling looked like starch, I probably wasnt over 10 years old and didnt know the egg yellows which I didnt put in gave it the yellow color.

I'm the same way Miss Wilma. I have a ton of cookbooks, but I mostly cook from my head and make it up as I go along. Your brothers should have been happy that it tasted like lemon heehee, love the story. I was cooking when I was really young too and my creations didn't always come out quite right either.

Thank you, I am looking forward to making it. My dad used to make fudge every year when we were children at home and unfortunately I do not have his recipe, which I am sure was my gramma's & both are no longer with us,
