My cleaning project for the has been my sewing room. I am getting really close to calling it a success! I didn't realize how dirty it had been getting. When you have as many plants as this shedding leaves, they accumulate pretty quickly!

One of the best ways to get an area clean is by re-arranging the furniture, so I my sewing room looks different now, and I think it is looking great. I am really looking forward to having better access to my craft supplies and in a newly spruced up room, I am sure I am going to be getting lots of things done!

Alee, I rearranged my sewingroom too. I set up my ironing board in there and a cutting table for quilt cutting and work surface to cut out my patterns. I added a small wooden collapsable clothes rack to hang my pressed workk over. it looks very nice now.. I needed a palce to work.. ( when the grandkids come for Thanksgiving , it will be their bedroom.)..So until then I am happy camper....

My office/craft room is always a mess. I think it is called too much stuff. My computer is on my desk. I have a oak filing cabinet, an oak storage cabinet that the printer sits on, a chest of drawers full of craft and sewing stuff, 2 large book cases, a magazine rack, floor lamp, paper shredder, and a full size dining room table and 4 chairs, the office chair that I am sitting in and the dread mill. Oh, I mispelled, that is tread mill. I have book shelves on 2 walls, about 18" from the ceiling for books, pics and nick nacks. The small walk in closet is full of rubbermaid tubs full of quilt and craft stuff. Another big tub full of garden catalogs and notebooks and seeds. The table is always full of things that need to be done, should be done and things that I just want to do. Date books and phone books and ongoing grocery and walmart lists. And a stack of magazines looking for a place to be put away. Tell me, other than the tread mill, what can I possibly do without??

I'm doing my least favorite fall project, putting the plastic insulation over my windows. I am nearly done and it does make huge difference. I'm taking a break right now from it, it's starting to make me really cranky!

I must say, I am very pleased with my sewing room. The carpet is clean and everything is pretty much organized. It feels great to have gotten such a big job done today!

My project for today was crocheting a Christmas gift. I found a really great pattern for the most beautiful shawl for my DH aunt. I have to attack laundry too, but as DH invited the children and I out with him on a job site today, I am not sure how much of that I will be abe to get to. This week is looking good, I keeping my fingers crossed that it goes as well as I am thinking. :O)

Major house cleaning today. We're still figuring out how to make this tiny little house work and we still have tons of stuff in a storage unit right outside. So, I keep bringing stuff inside that I "need", and then I have no good place to put it.

Today's project is doing a good clean (including mopping!) of the kitchen and bathrooms, and doing a load of dark laundry (and figuring out how to rig up some sort of clothesline in the furnace room to dry them on.)

I'm focusing on a few different areas everyday so by Friday (my birthday!) I'll have a nice clean house :) Yesterday I even organized the front hall closet for our winter stuff, looks great and I found my knitted fingerless gloves, yay!

Last night i moved our full bed to the tiny spare room(former office) because it's closer the the LR w/ the woodstove in it. Our bedroom is a disaster w/ Husky fur, and ficus leaves. so when I get home, that's my project. DH's parents are giving us a queen 4 post bed and I'm getting our room cleaned out and the floor re-oiled(linseed smells sooo good).
I'm not the only one who has the plastic our windows for winter??...phew...that's a relief. I feel like such a cheese ball because we cant afford new windows...especially the sun room which I should work on, but it makes me cranky too...:(

My big project today is rearranging my daughter's room. We are trying to give her more space and not look so cluttered. She is over her poster obsession and has taken them all off the walls. It looks so bare. I think in the spring we will repaint it. She will be 16 in June and I think she wants a change.
