I just got a great book called Wire Style; 50 unique jewelry designs. Its a good book for wire work and includes some designs that would be conducive to making jewelry out of those beach pebbles and just plain pretty rocks that some of us pick up!Author is Denise Peck. |

I am not a beader but I love jewelry. My 13 year old grandson is in the Eagle Scounts and he is making his dance costume. Wyatt designed his own pattern for his breech cloth, I wove it on the big loom from wool, we then felted it. He made his leggin's from leather. He has a bead loom and he has made other beaded projects but I want to buy him some turquoise and orange glass seed beads for another project he needs to do. He told me he needs 10's but I think he met 11/0. Where is a good supplier? I live at least 2 hours from a hobby store so if I could get them over the internet that would work the best for me. I will appreciate all the information for ordering beads that I can get. (no experience with this craft....but always ready to learn). Sarita Having a beautiful day in Missouri

connie, I know what you mean....I love going into my "workroom" (cough cough) and just looking at all the beads begging to be used...was thinking about starting some small projects in beaded embroidery but haven't yet. my sweet sister came down from Oklahoma and helped me organize and inventory my beads and I just haven't wanted to "mess it up" since then. but am almost ready! janiee waco, texas farmgirl #390 |

sarita, http://www.firemountaingems.com/ http://www.beadage.net/directory-beading-supplies.html these links might be of some help to you. their our tons of bead suppliers online. he may possibly mean size 10 beads. they are pretty big (kinda like the stuff they use for kids project in alot of scout projects like key chains etc) 11/0 seed beads a quite small. the larger the number the smaller the bead. the number is referring to how many beads per inch, at least when it comes to seed beads. i would love to see pics of his finished projeects!
janie, it is so hard to "mess up" what you just worked so hard on getting in order, but get to it girl! the beads are calling your name and it will be so much fun to be able to see just what you have without so much searching while your crative juices are flowing! *grin* peace connie in alaska

Thanks Connie, I will have to talk with him to make sure of size before I order.
