Girls, I received the Dec/Jan MaryJane's Magazine issue in the mail (subscription) yesterday and have to say it's one of my favorites so far. Love love love the recipes and crafty things! Great job MJ!! You and crew outdid yourselves this time.

I've never tried polenta...my grandpa used to eat "mush" and I thought it looked as good as it sounded and never tried it. The recipes look enticing so I'd like to give them a try.
Also, I know 2 of the farmgirls listed in the entrepreneur area personally! I was taken aback to see them, Sharon Podlich with the cider and orchard from Orondo where I used to live and Lee Bates with the sheep farm just helped us at the sheep convention in Pullman and I enjoyed getting to know her! What a treat to see them in print!

I've seen copies at Barnes and Noble, Borders, Books A Million, and even one of my local grocery stores, but alas it hasn't arrived in my mail yet :(

I bought mine at Tractor Supply the other night. My husband grabbed it from me first thing because of the cover picture of the Santa Lucia celebration. He thought it might be taken in Sweden, as he is from there. But it was taken in a Swedish community here in the States. I haven't read it all the way yet but I think it's my favorite of the ones I've seen. But then again they are all wonderful. I loved seeing Jess' tree (and all the trees from the contest last year) and Miss Wilma's Whimsies (sp). I didn't get the last one because our Tractor Supply ran out. When I had the clerk check for stock he said there was -3. That must have meant people were asking for it after they sold out. I really need to get a subscription, I think I'll treat myself for an early Christmas present.

Suzan, what issue is it called? was it issue # 7? I was at Borders too and I believe it was the Oct/Nov issue that I saw. But, I don't believe it was the ladyslipper issue. I am going to go back and check. My subscription starts with the Dec/Jan issue.
