I wasn't sure I was ever going to be able to say this! The washer and dryer are empty. The floor around the washer is empty. The laundry basket in the bedroom only has my dirty clothes from today in there.
I only have 2 loads to fold and socks to pair. As far as I am concerned- the laundry is as good as done! It's amazing!!!

Way to go Alee!
I tried to have ALL my laundry done last week. I mentioned this to a friend who told me, "You have 6 outfits out there in the world getting dirty". It was a great but fleeting feeling. Enjoy!

LOL..have to love those kinds of greetings on the washer. I tried to finish up laundry yesterday but since we dont use the dryer and it rained clean into today I just recently got most of them on the line. I think I may have two more loads to hang out, but I dont dare to look in the washer jsut in case I do.:P HUGS

Laundry is a battle that I will never win. I did two loads yesterday and two more today. I have one ready to do tomorrow plus the kid's sheets. I don't think there is ever a day I wouldn't have to do laundry. Sometimes I just let it pile up because I don't want to do laundry.LOL Ruth

I love to fold the fresh dry laundry. I have switched to using the dryer since the weather here has been cold. It would never dry outside. *except my sheets. Those I can hang..Hubby has been banned from washing clothes however, He means well but he doesn't get the sorting game...Jeans , tennis shoes & panties do not get put in the same load!

Cheryl--sounds like my hubby. He and I have a rule right from when we first got married. Washing my panties is my job...lol. He put a blue sock in with some of my nice new panties one time and that was the end of that!! :P hugs

Akkk!! 4:30 in the morning??
Actually, somewhere along the line, I was told that if you're awake in the middle of the night, and absolutely, positively Can Not get any sleep, then get up, do the laundry, or mop the floor. In theory, it A) gets the chore done, and B) you'll be tired enuf after getting said chore done, that you'll be able to go back to sleep!!
I've done that a few times, esp. while the boys were little. Worked like a charm!!
Now all I have to do is to get Tom to do His Laundry...LOL!!

Laurianne, what a great idea :-) Very Farmgirly of you!
You know my favorite laundry trick? Give stuff away! I love paring down my wardrobe, sheets, towels, etc. to the basics. I might do laundry more often with fewer washables, but there's less of it to pile up and become intimidating. |
