Steph, I don't have much of a clue myself! Grace has some beautiful colors and hubby is letting me get $30 worth for Christmas!! I just have to figure which colors to get! What a wonderful dilemma!!! I will send you some in a different color when I get it!!!!!!

Stephanie, At the rate I am going it will probably be after Christmas, but you never know! I have been spinning every night lately even if it's just for a little bit! I am trying to get organized!! haha!! I got a needle punch at the thrift store yesterday! I just happen to see it in the bottom of a bag of junky craft stuff, but it was 1.99 for the whole bag and it has 3 different size needles so I figured it was worth the $2 even if I didn't want anything else in the bag! I will probably just donate it back to the thrift store!! So I suppose next is a rug hook!!!!

Hey Monica,

I bought the rug hooks...you can get them for as little as $5-8 bucks depending on the seller...lots are for sale on Ebay too. Funny enough, I'm finding that using a 1.75mm crochet hook is working very well on the 1/4" cuts for this heart design...I think the primitive size hook I've got will work great for strips cut wider than 1/4".

I've also got a needlepunch I found at Hobby Lobby and it is very big...can run sport or worsted weight through it..I'd forgot about it til you just mentioned finding one...the punch hooking is really pretty!

A lot of us were talking about Rug Hooking late last year..are there any new members that Rug Hook? I've made one small design using traditional rug hooking methods.

Hopefully when I get my home unpacked and settled I will continue with more projects. It's a very relaxing craft and the selection of wool is endless. I've even seen the hooking done with jersey tshirt strips and of course, fabric strips too.

I want to make a long slender hooked design that says "Provisions" and hang it over the door to my walk in pantry.

So....anyone else out there that is rug hooking??

This magazine always has a few rug hooking designs:

Have a great day,
Stephanie
