New to me at the produce market were Lady Apples. Tiny little apples, about 2 inches and smaller. I read online they are a very old heirloom. I saw some interesting recipes, i.e. bacon wrapped lady apples, adorable little carmel apples. I thought of you all on this forum, and wondered if you have memories, recipes, thoughts about this little apple.

I wish I bought some. I will be going back tomorrow to buy some. (Any excuse to visit that market. Produce is usually half the price of chain grocery stores.) My niece turns 7 on Thursday. So I will bring some of these cuties for her birthday party.

Sue, when you eat them be sure to save the seeds. You can start your own trees! What a neat idea for your niece, too.

I never heard of them either - what a wonderful find!

That is a great idea Ann. Thank you. I will share photos, if all goes as I hope.
My neice is named Gabriela and she is interested in gardening. Maybe with my encouragement, she will be Gabby AppleSeed.

I haven't seen any of those for years. I'm going to visit a local orchard to see if they have anay Wolf "River apples, they are a huge cooking appole, another heirloom.
