ok girls, when you paint these what kind of paint do you use? I am using indoor/outdoor so maybe it will hold up if you really want to use it out on the real clothesline. Is that ok? Beverley

Hi just a question. I noticed that there are only 11 signed up and 2 are doing 2 sets so does that mean we just send you 13?

I think the sets were 20 clothespins Beverley. That way you get 20 back.

There was a question about paint - I did mine in just plain acrylic - they were meant to be ornaments/decoration. If someone used them on wet clothes, the paint may come off. Is that ok? I have my first set all done and was planning on doing the second set this weekend.

the stuff I used comes in a little bottle and is an acrylic type but it said indoor outdoor on it so I am hoping it holds up outside. I guess we will see!! hehehehehe

Jess,
Is it too late to sign up? I would love to join. We just came back from Disney and I saw this and would love it.

Beverley,
Yes you would but I think the count makes it easier for the swap hostess.

hi ladies, I am only on once a day now, so i am just now seeing your questions. Yes, 2 people signed up twice, but i believe they are doing 2 different sets, plus i am doing several sets, just incase someone has trouble finishing up in the end. If you send in 20, you are sure to get a variety of 20 back, and perhaps not neccessarily your own. YOu can use acrylic paint as that was used in the last 3 clothespin swaps, and I have not had any trouble with it, tempra however does not work, for clotheslines. I know some in the past have come with paper decorations, and I have just used those inside because they are such a versatile little tool. Anyhow, please send 20 of each of your sets, or if you would like send 24, that way each person gets 2 of each set. Any empty spots I will fill with extras I make, since I said 20 at the beginning. I will go ahead and close the sign up so we can get started since there is about a month to get these in.

just a little FYI...I spray my clothpins w/spray varnish/varathane....so no matter if they are for out doors or indoors I don't have to worry about the paint or the decopaged paper.

linda, what a cute idea to use them for tree deco.

I use mine for all kinds of things,,,as paper clips, page/bookmarks, chip bag closer. I even put magnets on mine to clip notes to the fridge.... and yes I have a stash for my clothes line too! I just bring in my clothspin bag every night.

Thanx Jess for hosting and being our C.P. Swap Mama.... hugz.

My clothespins are going to be clearly for decoration only.
I have painted all my faces and just started on the shoes....I am having fun with this project.
My husband took a piece of 2 X 4 and drilled 1/2 inch holes so I can stand them up as I work on them.

Jessica, I love the photos of the baby. Soooo very cute! Actually, all your babies are so cute!! Get some rest and take care.

Mine, too.

I clipped them onto toothpicks then poked the toothpicks into an egg carton.
