I have been so excited to get together with a group of coworkers ( one who happens to be a farmgirl sister!! and another who hopefully is on her way!!...). It has been a lot of fun and very useful. I have been wanting to learn how to knit and our coworker taught us basic knitting technique so we are all making scarves!! and hopefully i can make a good few for holiday gifts. I really recommend them or any kind of crafty parties, it was so much fun!. We started with lunch, had falafels that were so yummy and some wine.... then we went off to your education session and kicked off the knitting!!! So now we are attempting to continue our knitting sessions and maybe change it up to embroidering/ going for sewing classes at local Joanns, etc. It's been fun and I thought I'd share!!! Any good stories??!!!
It sounds so fun!! We have sporadic knitting/handwork get togethers but no set time. I like THAT idea alot. Maybe now that the kids are back in school we can even do one morning each week for those that are home. I substitute teach so I can block out one morning a week to NOT work, right? I am trying to get some socks/mittens/caps done for Christmas gifts...and knitting is so much fun with talking too!!
I would love to get together with gals in my area to knit or do any other kind of craft. When our Farmgirl chapter was active we did a different project at each get together. One meeting we were all so tired because we had had a big sale the weekend before so we all sat and knitted. It was so relaxing!
