I love www.audible.com they have fantastic prices, will give you a free MP3 player if you commit to a year of membership and they have fabulous authors like MaryJane and Barbara Kingsolver!
I just downloaded 3 of her titles including Animal, Vegitable, Miracle and The Poisonwood Bible.
I tried reading the Poisonwood Bible when I was younger and got a bit lost in it, but I think I can appreciate it now. Let's hope so! I just bought it! LOL

I just checked audible & they don't have free mp3 player, it was an older offer.
What kind of mp3 player do you have? This is going to be a present for 2 of our kids this Christmas and I'm doing the research. Thanks.

Darn! I just called them too just in case it was a "hidden" promotion and you are absolutely right, they pulled this promotion. Darn.
I have the Creative Zen V with a 1 gig hardrive. It is very drop resistant, recharges through the USB port of your computer (not having to always buy batteries is a HUGE bonus). It can record for in class or memo type things and handles about 6-7 audiobooks at once depending on size. It's about the size of half a credit card and maybe 1/4- 1/2 inch thick.
Creative is a great brand. I would highly recommend them.

I have been listening to this book an my audio book. I have gotten all the way to Chapter 7 since just yesterday. Today AVM is keeping me company while I do my housework. This book is so eye opening and has me day dreaming of growing things! I can hardly wait for spring and it is barely fall here! LOL
