It's fantastic with yellow cake mix too. (and to make it the 9x13, one box of cake mix will still work!-just need a full stick of butter, and 2 cans of cherry pie filling). Also one version our family likes is to add crushed pineapple to the cherry pie filling, and use pecans on top! :) YUMMY YUMMY!
