Didn't you have to pick up a few things because you ran out of essentials? If you've hit the bottom of your stash for essentials, that doesn't count against you...

Meet Angelina:
She is a true stashaholic creation! She is crocheted from leftover yarn, with an embroidered face (leftover floss), and a pretty new dress made from a fat quarter I got in a barter and leftover notions (button, hook and eye). Her little shoes are also crocheted from leftover yarn, and this morning they will have buttons added. If I get time today (ha ha ha), I am hoping to make her another dress or two. You see, she has a flight to catch... To Bolivia...
We sponsor a little girl who is Evan's age in Bolivia. Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in the world, the poorest in South America. Anyway, when we signed up to be sponsors, I called Compassion International and said "I'm a crafter, and if you think I'll be happy just sending cards and letters, you need to think again." The nice lady told me to just find a missionary headed that way, and the missionary can bring stuff to Bolivia for us. Well, Jack leaves next weekend, and Miss Angelina needs to get her packing done and get shipped! That plane is leaving with or without her, and I'd hate for her to miss it! Our little girl's birthday is March 1st, and even though Angelina will be a little bit late, I don't want her to be TOO TOO late!

Well, the time has come to put her in a box. I almost hate to see her go! Like I said, we've all given her lots of hugs and kisses and said some prayers for her safe journey. Sad sad sad... :(
Lisa, did you double check the guidelines? I'll bet you qualify for a 60 day chip. Since I have to go to the PO anyway, I'll be glad to send one if you think you made it...

I have truly been bad :P Wal mart here in couple weeks is gonna clearance all their craft stuff out and remodel..they wont be carrying it anymore. So i plan to really be bad when they do :) I have a new blog contest up ..details are over in barter section. Actually i have 4 contests running ...prizes are really nice ..they are made with stuff i have been destashing with.

Our local Walmarts have all done away with their fabric department, and have drastically reduced the yarn/craft items.

I have had a fun day today. I got to spend 11 hours in the craft room sewing and then going thru all the fabric scraps. I got alot done and i have the closet emptied out of fabric . What is left to work on is all piled high on my long work table.
I have a goal of having all my old projects finished up by end of March so i can start hauling dirt and expanding all the raised garden beds... I should reach my goal easily now.
I have 2 black cloaks cut out that i want to sew up tomorrow and get over on my barter blog. Then i have 3 skirts and 4 pairs of harem style pants to sew up for myself . I should be able to get all that done tomorrow before bed. If you get a chance drop by my main blog and see all the projects I finished up today. I will try to get pics over here tomorrow of them. I am off to bed in second. My eyes are worn out..

oooooohhhhhhhh!!! Another persons craft room !!!!! I have been pushing to finish using up stuff so i can paint that room around march / april too . I got so wrapped up in my jewlery making this last year that i totally ignored all the scrap stuff. It must have had babies and multiplied when i wasnt looking. I wont throw even the tiniest scrap away cause i will use them for quilt pieces. I filled a plastic tub of tiny scrap like that for a friend who is just learning to sew. She will have a blast having her own quilt piece stash.

HMM?? I am not happy with these pics cause you cant tell I have made "faery godmother "pumpkins..sigh!!! Idea was "what kind of pumpkins would a faery godmother have in her garden ... They are stunning in person to see them. I wire wrapped the big beads with thin copper wire and malachite and delicate rose quartx and used antique glass crystal beads ..

I have power briefly..we are in middle of ice storm with lots snow possibly over night.. I choped thru about 3 or 4 inches of ice to clear my walk and van off again this morning. Did it yesterday also.. I HATE WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone is safe !!!! I am gonna bead by candlelight tonight if power goes off again. Gotta keep busy with something. NO way i can get in to work today or tomorrow

Is it too late for me to join in the stashaholics Anonymous? I am a perpetual buyer..lol... I would love if nothing else, to be able to break this pesky habit of buying sewing things Just Because. I have so many UFprojects that need done, and I can't get to them for having to sort through the "Going to use those someday" items...lol

welcome jessie!!! that was my grandmother's name, on my mother's side. and I loved her dearly. You are going to love it here....i was thinking of maybe buying some "stuff" this weekend and was looking a catalogs and the thought kept crossing my mind...what would i do with it? what could i use it with? its a habit~ :)
