Well, my experience with husbands, I only had the one, is that they can be incredibly thoughtless at times. I think you may be right, it is just his age and having a chance to interact with someone else, but I hear your pain girl. Why are men such idiots? I don't know. I'm so sorry your lovely dinner was ruined. Life gets so complicated in the blink of an eye. You hang in there, kiddo.

I have a husband who is Southern friendly, he will be taking out the trash and end up talking with someone for hours. It used to perplex me until he explained that to me. Only once did we have a landlord who had eyes for my hubby but he thought she was crazy and would conversation with her short. No harm no foul. (((HUGS)))

Linda I am not sure of your situation but unless your husband has a history of this kind of behavior it sort of sounds like you may be overreacting a little. My husband is VERY flirty and it definatley took some getting used to. I used to get so angry at the girl he was talking to but soon realized that is just Richie. He doesn't mean anything by it - it is just his personality. I understand your frustratiuon though but if he says this is the first time he has talked to her then believe him unless he has given you reason not too. If you over react and start yelling at her in front of neighbors or dragging her husband into it it is only going to make the situation worse and you will be the one that people look badly at.
I am probably not saying what you want to hear but my advice is to let it go

My husband is the same way. He'd bend over backwards to not hurt someones feelings. He may have thought she needed someone to talk to and didn't know what to do, too. Men are strange creatures. And they think we're bad!
I hope all is well now.
