Oh Connio, I would love to read her email, and I will be sending her a card, in honor of my best friend who I lost a year ago, she too fought breast cancer but won only to die from another illness so young!
Girls, please don't think you have to make a homemade card, I know how hectic it is this time of year, a store boxed card is fine and dandy, do whatever you feel is comfortable, the whole idea behind this card exchange is make mailboxes all over merry and festive, so have fun getting and receiving. Tomorrow is the cut off day.

Just a few more hours to go, when I get home this afternoon I'll post the names of those exchanging cards, we will use the master list from mail art to send the cards plus any of the special requests can be gotten from the one requesting. If someone needs a list who doesn't have a mailart list just let me know and I'll send them the names and addys. Off to work, but I'll be back this afternoon, get those cards ready, it's December!

I am posting this letter from sweet Elva for Connie.

>Hi Connie-
>What a sweet thing (sending Christmas cards to everyone on their prayer
>lists) the women in farming/farm girls prayer group want to do!! And how
>thankful and appreciative I am that they are praying for me!! They have no
>idea how very much that means to me, as the power of collective prayer is
>unparalleled. Please thank them for me, Connie. I take such comfort in
>those prayers, especially when I can't pray for myself.
>
>You and they are angels, beautiful prayer angels!
>
>Love, Elva
>
>P.S. You are welcome to send them this message if you like.

Meadowlark, I wish I had the 'smarts' like you !!!! I never would have thought of e-bay for some wonderful cards. I need to think outside the box. The only time I go to e-bay is when some of you mention your finds. I'm waiting to see the card and remember----send it to the address in Sulphur....

Linda, thank you for adding your mailing address, I wasn't sure where you were, say, did you ever get the card of hope I sent you right after the hurricane?

Sue, I did not receive your card. This has been a test for my patience.... I have done all the changes the post office has asked me to do and still have not begun receiving mail. Washington has released our mail for 70605, so maybe things will return to normal.

Thank all of you for being patient with the differnt changes I have had to make since the hurricane. In the mist of this, I am very grateful that I have no loss of property and most importantly, no loss of life. I will eventually get mail, but had I lost family or friends, I can not replace that.

So true Linda, a card lost is no biggie, the prayers sent with it went through for sure, you were blessed in deed! I'm sure it will turn up someday? LOL

Hello All
This morning I sent out the new mail art list for December. On the list are screen names so it might be helpful. You can use the new mail art list to send out Christmas cards. Oh how I love this time of year. Let me know if you gals need anything else. Happy Holidays

Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it.....unless they are spelling mistakes.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the list also. I made out my Christmas Cards last night. They aren't mail art ( I might have a few questions on the mail art side of it all), sorry about that, they are just regular cards. In advance I would like to apologize to anyone that does not celebrate Christmas, if you get a Merry Christmas card from me let me know for future reference and I will send you a holiday card instead next time. I'm looking forward to seeing the cards from ya'll.

We are putting up our tree and decorating the house today, it's my birthday and we have dome it on this day since I was born complete with Christmas music and movies. It even snowed a little today, YAY! I hope you all are having as good a time as my family and I are decorating for the holidays.

Cathy

PS this is also posted on the mail art forum.

Happy Birthday, Cathy! My son was born on Dec. 6 - a great early Christmas present. Of course that was 38 years ago...but we still like him.

Happy Birthday Cathy, sounds like a perfect way to celebrate! And sending out any kind of cards is fine, just do what you feel and enjoy the season!

Thank You all, we had a great time, of course I'm still decorating lol, but at least the curtains and tree are up. I'm glad ya'll don't mind if they aren't mail art cards, I've never done mail art before so it'll take me awhile to really get the hang of it but when I do watch out lol.
