In my family they have always called me Betty Crocker, I like to cook and do Home "stuff" unlike alot of them, lol. Today while wandering around the Dollar Store, I found this book , in hardback.I cam home and was looking through it and have learned alot about "Betty Crocker" . It has the homemakers creed. Anyway I thought I would just put it out there for you all to check out...

Thanks for the link Amanda. I have a 27 year old Betty Crocker cookbook and my mom has one from the fifties. They recipes are nice, reliable, and usually easy to make. I still use my book at least once a week.

I really thought it was a neat find. Especially the Homemakers Creed. There are also recipes in it.
Thank you Dawn for replying.

I have my Grandma's Betty Crocker cookbook, probably from the fifties. It is fun to page through it and see the little notes in the margin.
Ironically, she could have owned a thousand cookbooks and it wouldn't have helped. She was a horrible cook!

I love that book! For those who haven't read it - it is not a cookbook but the story of "Betty Crocker".

The Homemaker's Creed really jumped out at me too! I copied it from the book to make into a needlepoint project this winter!

Sherry,
I'd love to have the book. Do you want to do a barter for it?

I'm going to be on the hunt for that book! I collect the old spiral bound Betty Crocker cookbooks from the 60's. I would love to learn more about "Betty". I especially enjoyed the Homemakers Creed - I too will be placing it on my fridge.

Thank you both!
