Anyone interested in doing an ornament swap? I like to create new handmade ornaments with my kids. I have made regular round ornament with designs, angel ones from lace and many others. This year I want to find a new one to make and thought if I made a few extra, someone would like to swap. Wasn't sure whether to put this under barter or holidays.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

I plan on making ornaments the weekend after Thanksgiving. I will make enough to trade with whoever signs up by Wednesday the 23rd.

This sounds like a fun idea. Megan and I think it would be a really great holiday treat!! If everyone who wants to join could send me their name address and e-mail address that they can be reached at I can get the list all organized. We can each send one ornament to each gal on the list. With the holidays coming I will be away from the computer more so setting a deadline for sign ups would be great. If everyone could be signed up with me and ready to trade by the 5th of December that would be wonderful. Awesome Idea!!

Just a thought...I've done exchanges where one person compiled the list of people wanting to exchange. Then people were paired up - that way the exchange was with one person instead of each person on the list (which could turn into many!).

This is a super idea! Just a reminder that there are some girls who are of different faiths here...maybe they can be included in some way?

We would never want to exclude anyone from these exchanges. If farmgirls of different faiths have any ideas please post them!!

Kate how very nice of you to organize this! I think it will be a lot of fun. Maybe when we send our "Holiday" designs we could include the directions for how to make them. I am making Danish Hearts with a beautiful pattern, which I will send along with the ornament.
I agree, we don't want to exclude anyone, and I would love to receive something from a different faith. Peace on Earth, goodwill to everyone!
