My best friend since 1972 is now a Grandma! I can't believe it, we are only 48 years old! Thankfully her little grandson showed up in perfect shape on his due date. He was named Linus Timothy and is 7 pounds 9 ounces, 20 inches long. He was born at my friends house in a birthing pool after a whopping 56 hour labor. His exhausted, but jubilant mother, father and grandmother are still on cloud nine! God was really watching over all of them yesterday!

I've passed on your kind words & congratulations to my best friend. She just sent me pictures of the little guy. He is adorable and has the chubbiest little cheeks that I have ever seen on a newborn! Thanks for your well wishes!

I hope your grandson arrives in time for your visit Cheryl. I spoke with my best friend and she is still on cloud nine for being there through her daughters entire birthing experience. Joy is so thrilled that she got to be there when her grandson came in to this world! I can't wait to see the little guy in person, but we are just getting over colds, so our visit will have to wait.
Thanks to all of you farmgirls for your well wishes, Joy really appreciated hearing about them.
