Here is my surprise that I found this afternoon. Summer was due the 15th, she was not bagging, hardly sagging, and not sunk down. Here I find little Adam out in the pasture. He is about 50 pounds. Just a tiny little thing, like his sister was last year. Summer sure does not want me to watch her have a calf. But they are in the barn now, and I checked on them a little while ago and baby was curled up next to momma. Darn, now my vacation is over, back to milking twice aday! I can't wait till I can use Summer's milk. We sure miss the milk during her dry period.
Congratulations on another healthy calf! I'm sure Summer will be thrilled to be milked twice a day again too! I hope Eve doesn't get jealous now that her new brother is here.
