I fell in love with this show, and it's available on Watch NOW if you've got fast enough internet. It's called GOOD NEIGHBORS. Here's the description: This British series tracks the escapades of businessman Tom Good (Richard Briers) and his wife, Barbara (Felicity Kendal), who've had enough of the grind and want to live off the fruits of the land instead. But residing next door to people who've suddenly begun tilling the soil and raising livestock isn't what Jerry and Margo Leadbetter (Paul Eddington and Penelope Keith) had in mind when they moved to the 'burbs. Watch the fireworks fly. Originally airing on the BBC, this 1970s British comedy about an eccentric middle-class couple quickly became a viewer favorite. Tom and Barbara Good (Richard Briers and Felicity Kendal) decide to leave the rat race and live off the land -- but don't leave their suburban enclave. To the horror of conservative neighbors Jerry and Margot Leadbetter (Penelope Keith and Paul Eddington), the Goods turn their home into a self-sufficient utopian garden. Check it out, if you have a city home and want a farm life, see what these folks did in this funny, British comedy dating back to the 70's (not so long ago eh?) P~

My older sister was stationed in England in the late 80's and she loved this show! She still mentions it every now and then. I Love British TV! I can't wait to tell her she can watch it online - she will die! |
