Has anyone ever heard of those, forgive me if we have talked about them before. I went to the renaissance festival in Pittsburgh and that was the first time I knew that they existed. I just used my patchouli one and i'm soooo silky :-p and smell good! :) I love this concept and they are supposed to be pretty natural and healthy for a lotion!
I've seen them in the beauty supplies stores around here. Its basically pure paraffin, you burn the candle, let it cool a bit and then you can pour some of the "wax" in your hands to use as lotions. I've actually used them in body treatments and then I let them take the candle home!
I thought sure I had a recipe for the soy lotion candles but can't find it anywhere on my computer. I've never used one but everyone that does just loves them. One thing you want to be careful of is to make sure you are using a skin safe scent and not a candle scent. I did read that on a website today as I was trying to find a recipe.
So let me understand- you burn the candle, then blow it out and pour the warm wax/oil into your hand and use that as lotion because it has more of the lotiony oils that wax?
Yes Alee!!! The place I bought them from had lavendar, patchouli, vanilla bean, "love spell" like the Victorias Secret scent. They were all lotion friendly scents and I'm silky as can be!
