Hey guys! Recipe submissions have REALLY slowed down! Please help me out with this project and send in your best farmgirl fare!

Farmgirl Connection Cookbook Second Edition

We have gotten approval from the farm so the cookbook is officially underway. If you wish to submit recipes please read the directions carefully as this will help speed up the production of the cookbook.

To submit a recipe –

Please include your name as you would like it to appear in the book, Your MJF name and your hometown and state. Please keep in mind that this will be a published book and will be available to anyone wishing to purchase a copy so if you are concerned about using your last name DO NOT include it.

If you wish to include any information about where the recipe came from or why you like it, please do so.

Recipes should be typed in all the same size font. I will adjust later.

All measurements should use the American system of measurement.

Please indicate which section of the book you would like each recipe to be included in.

Recipes should be of a "farmgirl" nature avoiding box mixes and such whenever possible. (Unless it is a Budget Mix or Chill over recipe)

You may submit as many recipes as you like, however if I get too many or any duplicates I may not include all of the recipes submitted. I will do my best to let you know if for some reason I cannot include a recipe.

Please include an email address with your submission and I will send you a confirmation.

If you do not get a confirmation within 48 hours please contact me again.

Here are the categories!

1. APPETIZERS, BEVERAGES
2. SOUPS, SALADS
3. VEGETABLES
4. MAIN DISHES
5. BREADS, ROLLS
6. DESSERTS
7. MENUS
8. HOLIDAY FAVORITES
9. MISCELLANEOUS

I will accept recipes now through November 22. My goal is to have the cookbook ready around mid January or earlier if I don’t have to do a lot of editing. Right now we are looking at around 10.00 plus shipping for the books but I will know more when I get a final page count.

If you have any questions please ask!

Email recipes to artist @ willowtreecreek dot com (I’ve stretched this so I don’t get any bot emails. You will need to take out the spaces and the dot before emailing)

This will be so much fun!

I will submit some soon, but I was wondering.. What about duplicate recipes from the first edition? Will there be anyone checking for that? Is this a concern? If it's not then that's ok. I would hate to duplicate recipes in the new book..

I will check in the old cookbook but the old cookbook had completely different categories as well. I will try to avoid duplicates especially if they are very common recipes but I am also not totally concerned because so many people were unable to get the 1st edition since there was such a limited printing. I can tell you though that this will be a VERY nice cookbook that you will wish to own. I am really going to work hard to include an excellent assortment of recipes even if I have to write them all myself!

Oh, Julie! This is just wonderful - farmgirls ROCK in the kitchen! I can't wait until it's "order-able!" I couldn't find my grandpa's red velvet cake recipe for the first one, but I'm back on the trail!

XOXO, Libbie

Julie - I emailed you a recipe (in the body of the email and not as an attachment, is that okay?) and will send a couple more later. I also will buy two copies at least. This is so much fun!

Julie, I'm definitely going to be sending recipes your way but it may take a couple of weeks because things are a bit hectic here right now. I'm also planning on getting several copies to give as gifts. "Homemade cookbooks" are the best!

I'm so grateful you are taking this on! Holler if you need help.

Dutchy they will be ordered online directly through the publisher (Lulu.com). As far as I know they will ship international. The book will be around 10.00 and NO MORE than 15. Shipping will vary depending on your location.
