I was looking through my Children's books and was wondering if anyone remembers "LITTLE BROWN KOKO". I posted a picture of the book.
When ever I go to the thrift store I look for old books. This one was mine when I was little. But I'm always looking for others that someone might be silly enough to leave at the thrift.

That looks similar to a book I used to love as a kid, called "Epaminodas & His Auntie"
Here is a link to that one.

I used to love for my mom to read this to me. Poor Epaminodas tried to do things right but just couldn't.
I found this link that has the story, of course not nearly as fun as seeing the pictures too!

I've never seen the book but I know a lady--now in her 80's--who has an embroidered baby quilt made of Little Brown Koko blocks. It's the cutest thing. She made it in the late 30's or early 40's for her first baby. After several years I finally found the patterns for it at an online shop http://www.yesterdayscharm.com under black americana, I believe.

OK, I just checked that link. The lady with the quilt said it's called Little Brown Koko but on the website her's is done with the blocks listed under Little Breeches. The first two in that collection.
