Just joined and would like to know more about becoming a "farm girl". I was raised a farm girl in So Cal and moved to Pacific Northwest last December. We love it here and have opened a B & B. Having a good time and realizing the importance of simplicity and nature is our goal and something we try to live by every day.

A warm Southern welcome from one of the Louisiana farm girls! So glad you could join us. Ooh, Debbie! I've always wanted to own a B&B. I had to let that dream slide, though. Our small farm takes every minute of every day, but it's okay. I wouldn't trade it!

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome. Some of you have the same dream I did. I waited 20 yrs. to run a B & B and now it's here. It is a lot of work but we are having a great time. We are meeting so many wonderful and very fun people from all over the world. It' makes me want to travel more as well. I keep thinking Paris might be fun. I'm not real big of flying but maybe I would go to Paris. Who knows. For those of you that said we will love it here in the PNW, well, we do love it so far. Since we moved here in December, we have been so busy and have really enjoyed living here. There is so much to do and so much to see. Will write more about our B & B as time goes on but for now we off for the train station on our way to Portland. Yipee a break is in site.

So, I am new at this blogging so forgive me. I am not computer savvy either but I am learning. Went to a farm girls sale today near Jefferson, OR and saw some very sweet things. It brought me back to my childhood growing up in a small farming and horse community in So Cal of all places. I had horses, sheep, chickens, etc. and kind of miss those days but love where we live now. I would love to hear more from other PNW farm girls. Need to know where more of those "out of the way" shops are too. We are having a "Put On Your Big Girl Pajamas" slumber party here at our inn in November. And, one of our weekend activities is going shopping of course. Got a few places picked out and a lot of other activities planned as well. So, any ideas for this party would be helpful. Thanks and keep dry!
