I have made it for 3 weeks with using up basically everything I have foodwise in the house. My goal is to start fresh with organic and healthy choices. Anyone know of a website or link that list organic food to have in the pantry? Brands? I am really going to try and be more aware of what I buy and what goes into our bodies. I am also in need of replacement ideas for things like the cereal bars Charlie likes so much. Any ideas would be appreciated. (((HUGS)))

Heather, check out a Whole Foods - they have lots and lots of organic stuff! You can get all kinds of spices there, aluminum-free baking powder, even some cereal bars, too! I'm not sure how far you are from a big town, but I'm sure they'd have stores in Dallas and/or Houston. You can also buy spices in bulk through Frontier Herbs. They are in Iowa, and have a website. I've started getting the spices I use most in bulk and keeping them in canning jars (helps save $$$). Hope this helps! |

Thanks everyone. I have a Whole Foods in San Antonio, so it would be a little trip but maybe something to do one day to get out of the house. Thanks!!!! How are they on prices???

Whole foods can be a little high on price. They do have sales and I managed to get some stuff that way. Their bulk is a nice selection and not too bad of a price. There are other natural food stores that are a bit better on price. Since it is a trip for you look around. The local City Market/Kroger carries a really good line of organic and I found the roasted red pepper soup I like on sale! Not quite like COSTCO price at about half, but I didn't have a card and refused to buy one, since I was getting ready to leave and we don't have one at home 4 1/2 hours away from where I was working.
