After doing research on the Singer I bought at the thrift yesterday I decided to do a little research on the treadle machine that I got from my grandma about 30 years ago. I found out that it is a Singer 66-1 and that it is missing a face plate and bobbins. I ordered those through the site that katie-ell told me about and hopefully I will get it running soon. I don't have any of the accessories or manuals for it, but I'm happy just to have the machine. I hooked up the belt and it is a little stiff, but it does move the needle up and down. I'm excited to see if I can get it running too. I looked up the serial number and found that it was manufactured between l921 and l923. My mom was born in '23, so that'd be about right for my grandma. I don't know what took me so long to research this machine - but it's pretty neat to find out about it!!

You can get new belts for that at a place Bonne told me about. At least I think it was Bonne. Stitches In Time on ebay. I got bobbins and a new belt.
