Here is a little "writing" a friend sent to me the other day. I thought all of you might enjoy it as much as I did....

It is entitled,

WOMAN TO WOMAN

Someone will always be prettier. They will always be smarter. Their house will be bigger. They will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their husband will fix more things around the house. So let it go, and love you and your circumstances. Think about it...... The prettiest woman in the world can have turmoil in her heart. And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. And the richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes.....might be lonely.

And the world says if I have not Love, I am nothing. So, again, love you. Love who you are. Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say "I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!" "Winners make things happen. Losers let things happen." Be Blessed ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman. "To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world."

Until Later,
xoxo

dear friends....I am so glad all of you appreciated this as I did. So many times we just have to have that little "kick in the pants" to remind US of how wonderful we are just because we are our own "Unique Selves"!!! I know it caused me to pause for a moment.

If you read the writing and feel like it was a good reminder, PLEASE let me know. Sometimes I also pause and think as to whether I should post something that is meaningful to me because I worry it might bother one of my cherished friends here.

Until Later,
xoxo

Aubrey, I have raised my two daughters on that poem. I have included, as they were going thru HS yrs, sometimes you will be 'dumped' (not a nice word, but thats what they use) and sometimes you will be the 'dumper' amongst other phrases I have added. it certainly is a good reminder, no matter the age of the receiver.....thanks for sharing.

Audrey, thanks so much for sharing that. I especially liked the part..."Winners make things happen. Losers let things happen." I think sometimes I forget the part about loving and appreciating myself for who and what I am.

Wow, that's so right! I've always thought that the people who have so much are misreable and lonely. It's sad.

I like the part about too blessed to be stressed and too annointed to be disappointed. I need to remind myself of that.

Thanks for sharing such uplifting words!

The other morning, as I lay in my bed with an awful migraine, Ben Gay rubbed all over my forehead, a heating pad on the back of my head, my little 3 year old grandson came very quietly into my room, climbed the bed, and sat looking at me. I opened one eye and asked him what he was looking at. I am going to quote his answer because I will never forget it....."You so pretty, Mama. Me love you!" If all of us could just see the beauty in what lies beneath all of us instead of trying so hard to be beautiful on the outside. I am happy to declare that my grandbaby loves his mama no matter what she looks like! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Susan

I agree. I also believe that you control your world with positive thinking. Example I always thank someone for services that they provide for me such as the bag boy at the food store or if someone holds opens the door for you (a stranger). You know it makes a big difference not just with yourself but with the person you say it to.

Audrey, I really enjoyed reading the "Woman to Woman". I am in charge of lettering our church sign. I think I will put "I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed" on the sign next week. I am always on the lookout for a new saying--slogan--verse to put on the sign.
Thanks for sharing.
