Thanks for the offer Karen! I will try to be somewhere where I can pop in for a minute or two and say hi. No promises though, but I'll try. I woke up to a scary morning. Really bad storm woke me up with so much thunder it shook my house! The window panes were rattling and the lightning was fierce! My brother knew that I don't have tv and so he called at 5:30 am to tell me I was under a tornado warning!! A big one and a smaller one right behind it. YIKES!!! Needless to say, I have been up watching the sky and listening and praying real hard. It seems to have went around me, but my back yard looks like a lake. I will have to get my pirogue out to go feed the dog. Her dog house is now a house boat! I will check in later, I hope you all have a wonderful day!

P.S. That chat last night was just what I needed. Thank you so much!!

Wow~What a fun chat last night. I missed it :(!! Can I cry like a big baby now?

We are trying to get some school done here. I had to take a maven break because my son is driving me crazy and I don't want to kill him right before Christmas. YKWIM?! It could get messy. People already think homeschoolers are wierd, I'm sure this would put us all in a jam. Just kidding.

Dawn~I left a comment on your blog about your candle tarts. I would so love to order some.

Corrine~I am so glad to hear that you can stay in France. How absolutely wonderful for you. I dream of someday visiting France and Italy. It is so awesome that you can be there. Is it as wonderful as they say?

Annika~I hope your computer starts behaving.

Miss you all. We have been quite busy here with the holidays.

Blessings,
Ruth

Ruth! Oh so good to hear from you, maven sister! Please, don't kill the boy, we'd miss you terribly. I'm pretty sure they don't give prisoners internet access.

Good evening Mavens, Annika and Ruth we missed you A LOT.
It was so much fun, pure Maven delight with lots of bits and bouts and silly jokes, as you put it Brenda, we all needed it.
Brenda, I am praying for you that the tornadoes go their way and leave you quiet and alone.
Ruth thanks for the nice words, i promise to send ya'll cards and notes when i go to Italy, please do the same when you go to Wallmart hehehehe
Love ya'll.

Hi, Corinne! I'm glad I get to see your post. I was getting ready to submit whatever I wrote (I forgot what I had written already) then Robbie called and I left the screen to browse the connection while I talked to him and lost what I'd written. Except for this:

As promised, for your reading/musical pleasure, the 12 Days of Christmas Cajun-style:

On de first day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
A grobeck on top a cypress tree.

On de second day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Two crawfish pies and a grobeck on top a cypress tree.

Den on de third day of Christmas, oh, my bebe she gave to me
Three alligators, two crawfish pies and a grobeck on top a cypress tree.

On de fourth day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree, smilin’ big.

On de fifth day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Five big shew pig, four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree, puttin’ up decorati’ns.

On de sixth day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Six fais do dos, Five big shew pig swimmin’ around, mah,
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree, cookin’ gumbo.

On de seventh day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Seven fat egrets, six fais do dos, five big shew pig with mai,
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree, hangin’ his socks.

On de eighth day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Eight cajun fiddles, seven fat egrets, six fais do dos,
Five big shew pig (high pitched voice) Oooooo,
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree.

On de ninth day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Nine links of boudin, eight cajun fiddles, seven fat egrets, six fais do dos,
Five big shew pig, Hoo! De big!
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree, wrappin’ presents.

On de tenth day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Ten possums hangin’, nine links of boudin,
Eight cajun fiddles, seven fat egrets, six fais do dos,
Five big shew pig, whah I put all dis?
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree, turn on de lights.

On de eleventh day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Eleven bowls o’ cous cous, ten possums hangin’, nine links of boudin,
Eight cajun fiddles, seven fat egrets, six fais do dos,
Five big shew pig, Whoo!
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck in a cypress tree, lookin’ for de Claus.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my bebe she gave to me
Twelve duck decoys, eleven bowls o’ cous cous, ten possums hangin’, nine links of boudin,
Eight cajun fiddles, seven fat egrets, six fais do dos,
Five big shew pig, bless dem!
Four pirogues, three alligators, two crawfish pies
And a grobeck on top a cypress tree, wavin’ to everybody,
Sayin’ “Merry Christmas!” “Joyeux Noel” and “Bonne annee!”
That means “Y’all pass a good new year to ya, sha!”

Ruth: I have the scents and the prices listed on the blog. I try not to use the blog as a store front, I'm still thinking about the etsy deal.....and there are so many good craftwomen here that i try not to hawk my goods too much. i can send you an order form in the mail. I carry this stuff in my farm market. Let me know. I can get stuff out in time for the holidays if you need it. I have paypal as well.

Ok~I'm not killing the boy. He gets to live another day. HeHe! I think they would kick me out of our homeschool group if they could hear me now. Sometimes I just need to walk away because it's going to make me crazy.
Dawn~Could you send me an order form and can I pay with a money order? I don't have a paypal. I need to set that up and I also want to set up an Etsy shop. You don't need to worry about sending it for the holidays~these will be a treat for me.
Corinne~My parents are from Portugal. I was born in Angola. I came here when I was 3.

Ruth that is funny, we still do not know if Raymond is going to work in Gabon or in Angola. A real small Maven's world.
We will go to Portugal while we are in Europ, more cards coming your way then.
Have you even been there Ruth ?

Corinne,
I was there right before I came here. I was only 3 years old, though. I would love to go there someday.

I hope everything is ok with Brenda.

Thanks, Dawnzo! I know you're at work. I guess I missed your intent when you gave your e-mail address. I thought you were going to be checking in on the thread too. So..........

ANYONE THAT HEARS FROM BRENDA, CALL ME. I'm just concerned because there was a lot of water with the first storm and her last post said round two was about to hit. It could be something as simple as the phone lines being out and they're all fine. I'm just looking for a warm fuzzy.

No news from Brenda yet, huh? I wouldn't be quite as concerned if she wasn't going offline after today. Guess we'll know tonight as she was definitely going to sign on for a little bit o' chatting then.
