that there is a thing you can screw into a light socket that turns it into an outlet? My hens needed a light in the coop cause we are just getting below 14 hours now but there are NO outlets on the outside of our house. Well I was at Lowes looking for a really long extension cord that I could run from the inside of the house. They guy asked me what I was working on. After I explained he asked if I had any flood light on the outside of the house. We do - but there are no bulbs in them. We don't use them. He showed me the little thing that goes into the light instead of a bulb. It was only$2.00! I bought that and a much shorter and cheaper extension cord and now my hens have light. The cool thing is I can turn it on and of with a switch INSIDE my house!!!!
I also figured out that I can use this for Christmas lights too! Wow!!!
I've seen the extender kind - you screw it in and then screw the light bulb back in, and now you've got 4 plugs plus your light. I didn't know, however, that there was an exterior type available. Good to know!
