Who would've thought!! I was just over at the Herbal Wisdom folder asking about something herbal for my arthritis. Yep!! Arthritis at 43 years, I am falling apart!! My finger joints are very painful lately. Anyway, I received some really good tips at the herbal folder. I also did some sleuthing on the net and found that unprocessed apple cider vinegar to be of help to alot of folks suffering from arthritis. I think ACV needs to be dubbed the miracle food or something. WOW!!!

I've had arthritis and fibromyalgia most of my life and someone told me about this ACV. But, I have no idea how to take it. Do I drink it straight or bake with it or inhale it or what? If you have a recipe would you be kind enough to share it with me? I would love to know how this works! Thank you for mentioning it here! Susan |

Hi Susan,
Here you go:
***** You have to use organic apple cider vinegar not the distilled. It should be 2 tablespoons ACV with 1/8 teaspoon baking soda (so the vinegar won’t harm the teeth) plus 1 tablespoon raw honey in a glass of water.
You must take apple cider vinegar daily in order to see ongoing relief. Additionally, it may take two to four weeks to feel the full effects. However, Apple Cider Vinegar ("ACV") relieves pain and gives freedom of movement in most people. This is not a cure - if you stop taking the apple cider vinegar for a few days, you will feel your arthritis symptoms again! ****
I searched and found this information from http://www.earthclinic.com I hope this helps you. I am going to go to the health food store and get some Organic ACV. I already have the raw honey from my neighbors bee hive. I am having symptoms in my finger joints and feet and knees. I guess it is hereditary? My grandmother (mom's side) and my dad have arthritis and just last year I started having symptoms. Let me know if you get relief from it and I will let you know how my progress goes as well.

Oh Brenda. My baby sister has arthritis really bad. I'm going to send her your information. Thanks for that. Marly

Yep. chickabella is onto something. I used to work at a wellness pharmacy and we sold the dickens out of ACV. the pharmacist used to tell me that the grimey stuf on teh bottom was called "mother" and you should shake it up well before you take your tablespoon/day. I guess the mother is the miracle part. I used to to this with raw honey daily but has since stopped. I have no idea why.... I should start up again! Thanks for the reminder of how good it is for you! (PS: good for chickens too... a teaspoon per gallon..good for worms, digestion and feathering out.)

I am going to try this as well. I have really bad arthritis in my knees (I'm still in my 30's) and I hope this helps. I am putting off surgery as long as possible.
thanks for the info, Lora

You're funny, Dawn!! My husband wants a deere. I'm holding out!!!. Where is Nova? Alex is about 40 miles north of Indianapolis up I-69. I tried the ACV drink in my tea (thought it would help with the taste ) I think I ended up using 5 T of honey!! Wow was that strong. I will keep trying though

I went out last week and got the Bragg raw unfiltered organic ACV at Greenlife in Chatt. Got my hubby a bottle, too. I can already tell a difference !!! Before if I sat too long then got up, it took a few minutes to get going right. Now I get up without too much trouble. And getting out of bed was pretty rough, too. Plus the middle finger on left hand is much bigger than all the others and I can hardly bend it. Now I can! This stuff is great. Smells like beer though. And the first time I mixed it up the cup was way too small and I had a little volcano going on.It does take getting used to.
Now if I can just remember to keep taking it! |

I've been drinking a tablespoon of ACV in a tall, ice cold glass of water twice a day now for nearly two years. It has helped get rid of those aches and pains, especially when I first get up in the morning1 I did an experiment & stopped using it for a few weeks. The pain came back, but disappeared as soon as I started drinking the ACV. If you look on the internet, ACV helps not only arthritis, but kidney and liver functions as well. Take a look, it really is incredible what it can do for you!
