... and a coupla' other treasures too!

i collect grey enamel PIE pans .. use them as breakfast/lunch/dinner plates! LOVE 'EM!

got a skinny one today (saw THREE of these t'other day in Horse Cave .. including a larger one .. passed on 'em .. gonna' go back and get them .. THEN .. i think i'll have ENUFF!

Friend, Kledith at Glovers' Station told me these were used to make BISCUITS rather than pies!

OHHHHHH .. and i LOVE this .. sure hope it works out in my laundry room!

it's a closet with a folding wooden ironing board inside it!

see how THIN it is. i'm thinking it was 'built in' before.
i'm sure kathy sugarbucket will be able to figger out how to put it in our house!

it's very sturdy too!

and look at that cute 'sleeve board' that is part of it too!

it had a very olde and nasty cover on it .. i hacked and coughed my way through ripping and tearing it off .. and i musta' taken out a trillion TACKS .. but isn't it waaaaay coooooooool NOW!

Frannie- I have a very similiar ironing board except it is a smaller version in the casing..cool!! I am going to paint mine turquoise on the outside and maybe crackle it and then just oil the wooden ironing board.

ooohh I LOVE turquoise, Heather!
I think I may have seen one of these on one of those old tv shows.
Never in real life.
Both of you gals, please post pics when you get them put up and finished.

Frannie- if I could crawl up into the attic space, I would take a pic. When hubby gets here in a few weeks, I will have him pull it down. I want to work on it. I would really like to mount it and use it. I think it is so cute.

Turquoise is my favorite color, so I thought it would be cute crackled..kinds old timey, since all the white paint is just falling off. Beachy yet vintage...I want my house to look like a vintage beach house..oh my..I finally figured out my style!! HA!! Thanks ladies...I just got a whole bunch of ideas.

Frannie,
I LOVE the ironing board. You will not believe this...but I LOVE to iron. I would iron everything if I had time. When I was a stay at home Mom (when Ange was a little girl) I ironed everything. Loved it. Hubbys hankies, tee shirts everything. LOVE those nice crisp pillow cases. Gosh, havent slept on those in quite some time.
And you know how I love those pie pans. I have started using mine more often.

oh joy darlin' . .i know what YOU are gonna' be doin' at our gatherin! i have a TON of vintage linens that need ironing!

ha! my daughter was reminding me of a story i had told her about 'me' and 'ironing' when i was a teenager. oh good grief .. even my uncles BOXER SHORTS had to be ironed! well .. i just balled them up in a ball .. hit 'em with a half-can of heavy duty Spray Starch .. and ironed away!!!! (i was NOT asked to iron again!)

I love 'em all! But most especially the iron board. I have three old wooden ironing boards but none of 'em came in a closet. Somehow I've never managed to come across grey enamel pie pans in any of my ventures but when I do in the future, Frannie, I'll think of you!

God bless -

I have a newer version of the ironing-board-in-a-cabinet. I do not like it for ironing, but it is pretty cool looking. I love your more Prim one, Frannie.

CUTE Ironingboard!! I love your plate rack too!! Would you believe I spend all afternoon yesterday to find one here? I saw a lovely one, but too big for me. I LOVE the build-in plate racks. WHO knows, I might make me one, someday :)

I just went up into the attic space and I can't find my ironing board. I think hubby buried it. I am a little scare to stand on the rickety ladder anywho. I will have him get it down when he gets here and I will show all ya'll it.
