After I read TX Frannie's post on MisTilWill's post I thought I should say I am sorry for my too "religious" posts, I didn't pick up on the unspoken knowns here about politics and religion. I especially want to say I am sorry to those on the prayer forum, especially deeredawn.I will refrain from now on and again forgive me for not respecting the rights of the girls here...thank you...Debbie
I am not apologizing for what I said only that I wasn't sensitive to the rights of others...

Some of us didn't know we weren't allowed to discuss politics or religion. Some of us just thought we had to discuss things nicely.
If you are posting on the prayer forum.... isn't that a religious area in the first place???

Debbie- I don't think any of your posts have been "too religious" There is no rule that says we can't discuss religion- just that we need to be kind and respectful to all farmgirls when doing so since we have farmgirls from all walks of life. *hugs* Please don't feel bad!

Debbie, I don't think your posts are too religious either! As a general comment I think we all ought to be able to be ourselves here! There are things about me such as my beliefs that are simply a part of who I am and I have no desire to offend anyone! We ought to be able to express general opinions about some subjects even such as politics and act with grace and good manners as there is no way for this many ladies to agree on everything. I have found that sometimes if someone is looking for work or bad weather is approaching some will say "I am praying for you" and others will say "sending good vibes your way" and that is just who we are. There are some ladies who I may not agree with on some things, but boy can we talk about other things like sewing or knitting and it's all good. I love you all and hope that whatever has happened will not cause a rift between the sisters here on Farmgirl Connection! Monica Farmgirls Rule!

i ADORE hearing of the belief systems of others! GOSH! i usta' stop Hare Krishna's in the airport .. give them a donation and ask them to please tell me of their beliefs. I've visited churches, temples, synagogues, ashrams and any other place of worship that i could find. I believe knowing about other's beliefs (on all subjects) instills a wonderful understanding and tolerance for each other.
(and the following is the 'gospel' according to frannie):
in addition to my own christian beliefs .. i don't personally believe there is only ONE road leading to the 'pearly gates' .. or into God's magnificent Grace! I'm married to a wonderful Jewish man and have no doubts whatsoever that if there is 'another side' .. we shall meet on it for hugs and kisses and snuggles .. and i believe people of all religions, faiths and spiritual beliefs will be there to greet me too! AND .. i totally honor the beliefs of those who believe that we are simply dust to dust .. ashes to ashes.
OHHHH .. and my personal preference that i would love to be 'so' .. WE GET TO COME BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
"I" believe .. that spirituality is an ongoing learning experience from our first to our last breath on this earth .. (and probably beyond that too!) and it is ALL based on absolute and true LOVE for each other.

Frannie, you didn't make me feel uncomfortable, I questioned myself and that maybe I had already crossed the unspoken boundaries here. This is my first "chat" experience and I hoped by my own ignorance that I didn't get off to a bad start and ruin the pleasure I have found here. No apologies necessary, it is my problem. thank you,Debbie

Debbie, I love that you are sensitive to all the other farmgirls and want to keep yourself in check (as we all should), we are a very diverse group of gals which is what makes us the beautiful bouquet we are, and I love that we farmgirls can "walk in Grace" with one another...I know that when one says, "I will pray" and one says, "I am sending positive energy", and another says, "My fingers are crossed".. it is all ways of saying we are "standing with you and supporting you".. that's what farmgirls do.....SO I think you set a great example of checking yourself as to not hurt or affend another sister... while at the same time being distictively YOU.... Thanks for the reminder to all of us to always be watching out for the sister next to us.. that is the quality that makes maryjanesfarm........ a place we all want to be.

Hey girls, that's what the big red "X" in the corner is for. If we don't agree or some statement is too this or too that, hit the "X" and be on your way. If I got concerned about anything that was the least bit disagreeable, I would have more grey hairs than I do already. Please, please, allow freedom of speech.

Betty: I agree with you 100%. I would never think of putting down ones religion or political beliefs. However, because of our freedom of speech, I want to be able to talk to others who share my religious beliefs, or political beliefs. Amen. Marly

Frannie! Your thoughts and ideas are just what I believe. I could not have said it better! Marly
